with digging the grass out of the new garden! I just need to go back and clean up the edges and get those stray clumps out. Then I'll try to get all the biggest rocks out and rake. After that, tilling time! Notice how I went beyond the end of the veg garden? Heehee. There's something special planned for this area. I can't even begin to describe the feeling of accomplishment I had after stopping work on it yesterday. The key to digging such a large area is to stay in the moment. Each shovel, each bend, each clump you carry over to the pile is the one thing that matters. Focus on the moment at hand and Voila!, you're there!I've uncovered a lot of weird stuff, but this thing was buried beneath the grass into the dirt. At first I couldn't tell what it was and was leery of it. It looked almost like a canister of sorts. And see those worms? They looked like they were crawling out of what seemed like a lid.

Cheese and Rice, that's huge!

Well, it a sure thing that doggie wasn't going anywhere. When I first saw it, it looked like a land mine. :)
What a lot of work. You have inspired me to take on the mess that is my veggie garden.

Nancy, I know what you mean. All kinds of possiblities ran through my head as to what it could be. That's what scared me. heehee
Deb, does that mean I'm your hero? Ok, you can call me your hero if it means that much to you. LOL
Thanks for visiting ladies! -Jen :)
LOL! Love that China comment. It must have been a big dog to need such a big stake.
