Fun with Photos

Today was cold, wet, and rainy, so I couldn't go out to play with the flowers. Instead, please allow me to indulge in photography play. The first picture is two daffs that bloomed in the bag they were brought here in. We didn't want them to go to waste, so we put them in a vase on the table.
This one is under the Cherry Plum tree.

Here's two bloomers from the front side garden. They were spared the school-kid crunch. Remember the bird's nest in the Cherry Plum?
I just can't seem to get enough of it. It blooms so briefly throughout the entire year that I feel compelled to document it's every stage. Fleeting and magnificent, like a dream.
Lastly, some new arrivals getting ready to show. I'm excited to see these too.

High: 46 Low: 39, rainy and gusty winds; Lunar Phase: First Quarter, 53% of full.

Lovely! I like the two toned plants, they're very neat. I had some beautiful pale yellow tulips at my old house. I miss them this time of year. I need to figure out how to plant bulbs that the squirrels won't steal! I used to plant bulbs other than tulips, but every one of them dissappeared the next year. Crazy beasts!

Thank you Cindy! I haven't had any squirrel problems here, thankfully. They are crazy little beasts, huh? -Jen :)

Great shots! Love the black and whites. And what beautiful blooms on your Cherry Plum. Can't wait till we start seeing blooms in our neck of the woods. Cheers!
