We went camping at Shakamak State Park this week.

We like to take hikes along trails in the woods.
Don't you just love finding flowers in the woods? Wild flowers. Just flowering because that's what they were made to do.

The forest makes a nice seat for hikers.

In retrospect, the May Apples seem to have been trying to give us a heads up about the incoming storm last night.

Glad you are back. BTW, you walked into my trap. You now have a wildflower link.
I love camping! I always felt so rested and refreshed after a camping trip. I hope you are refreshed and rested too.
Hey Deb! Thanks for including us in your wildflower post! -Jen :)
Hey Robin! Yes, camping is always good for the soul. The music of the birds is all one needs. We're feeling good, but happy to be back home too. That last night we got hammered in a storm with 40 mph winds. Surprisingly nothing in our tent got wet! -Jen :)
love the pictures from your trip!
Thanks Melissa! We had a great time. -Jen :)
Sounds like a wonderful trip. Thanks for bringing us with you. I love the beautiful wildflowers.
Thanks Cindy! It was our pleasure. -Jen :)
Hi y'all. I tagged you.
I'm so jealous that you're able to go hiking already! Usually we'd be able to go out on the lower elevation trails here in the Canadian rockies about now but we had a bunch of snow last week so it's all snowy again! I think it'll be another week or two before I can get out. I'm planning on going out for a camping trip the first week of June, hopefully the weather will cooperate. Aren't the wildflowers gorgeous?
I wondered where you where...thought maybe you had worn yourself out from gardening. Glad you took time to 'smell the roses', or in your case, the wildflowers.
